In the production diary for 'Imouto no Katachi' dated April 27, 2012, Takashi Hashimoto explained that the uniform was jointly proposed by the key animators, and then decided by the main staff. He prepared variations for the tie and ribbon, but in reality, only Ayaka and Chimari were used.
