"Situation Begins" is a military campus romance adventure game developed by Kogado Kitsune-san Chimu, released for Windows in 2005. The story is set in the fictional state of Jinju, the Tsuchiura preparatory training center, where officer candidate education, campus relationships, and mechanical weapons together form the story's backdrop.

Zhenzhou during the Cold War
The story uses chronology independent of real history. The war that broke out in 1992 lasted thirteen years, and even after the armistice, the two major camps continued to clash. By the year 2055, the maritime nation of Shinju faces pressure from allies to increase military investment and instead strengthens officer candidate training.
Prepared for training at Zuipu
The Preparatory Division of the Imperial Defense Army Officer School Tsuchiura is one of the twelve preparatory departments for the army, navy, and air force in Jinju. It is known for its practical combat education, with a high elimination rate and many disciplinary issues, while also producing many outstanding soldiers. Students are assigned to courses such as hygiene, intelligence, mecha, and general courses, and the school also has instructors and PX shop staff involved in daily life.
Characters and Military Academy Life
Among the students, Kaya Tsukiyama is the top student in the third year of the Mecha Department, receiving training to drive multi-legged combat vehicles; Maori Nagafune is a second-year student in the health department, straightforward with others, and calm when facing medical study materials. Senjuin Natsuhime, a second-year student in the Intelligence Department, excels academically and speaks sharply; Nagasone Suzuri, a first-year general course, is full of energy and acts immediately once she finds the right direction.
Kyo Ichimonji, the chief instructor of the maintenance department, is responsible for vehicle maintenance and helps his friend Kaede Tomoki work at the PX shop on campus. Kaede raises the twins alone, while the lives of instructors and clerks together make up the daily campus routine.
Production and songs
Tatami was responsible for character design, Goro Murata for mechanical design, Shogo Sakamoto to write the script, and Lantis to participate in sound production. CooRie's songs "Kaze~Start Line~" and "Tsukimakari Serenade" are included in the same theme song single.
Original edition, preview materials, and popular edition
The original edition was released on December 16, 2005. Previously, on November 25, the "Tsuchiura Prelude Book & Disc~" was released as prelude material to introduce the game world.
The release plan announced for the popular edition is April 11, 2008. The set includes a game DVD and Prelude CD-ROM, and includes an official manga PDF illustrated by Miran Yoshi, originally published in Monthly Dragon Age.
