Music production
Katsuhiko Kurosu arranged the song under the name of the song "Da Capo III ~Dedicated to You, Ai no Mahou~."
Entrusted with composing and preparing for live bands
In a 2014 interview, Katsuhiko Kurosu explained that he usually starts composing based on the title or reference piece. Reference songs are usually listened to only once, then combined with their own ideas, choosing and arranging around the singer.
Around the age of 24 to 25, he shifted from single-band activities to writing and accompanying songs for various singers, maintaining his creative spirit by balancing composition and bass playing.
After collaborating with yozuca* for a performance in 2011, he received an invitation to select members for LisAni's live band, choosing members from previous collaborations.
He emphasized communication before performing to ease the tension of being a first-time band member. Looking back on ClariS's 2015 performance, he said it was first performed by the band, then rehearsed again with two singers.
In the same conversation, Yosuke Yamamoto recalled that when the original song didn't have guitar or bass, different plans would be tried during rehearsals, and Kurozu was asked to make a comprehensive judgment and confirm with the client; Kurosu also first processes the sequence or EDM track according to the direction of the live band.
The song length and bell in the anniversary single
Recalling the production of "Shining days, shining stars!", Minako Kotobuki said that shortening the song length would cut the second half of the bell needed by the MV director. After further negotiations with Katsuhiko Kurosu, he adjusted the CD length to 5 minutes and 15 seconds, while retaining the bell sounds.
HIKARI took the initiative to produce it
For the production of the three commissioned tracks for "HIKARI," Kurozu served as Q-MHz's coordinator, relaying the track framework and subsequent processing. He first handed "YA-YA-YAN Happy Climax!" to Tomoya Tabuchi, then wrote the framework for "Change the world" and "Excite the world!" in parallel; After completing the first round of songs, Tabuchi assisted in producing the second and subsequent sections.
Lyric compositions and recorded vocal materials for Change the world
"Change the world" was originally planned to have Aki Hata write the official lyrics, but near the recording stage, the team decided to use Kurosu's temporary lyrics; Hata is still responsible for the opening words and song titles of the chorus, connecting them to "Excite the world!" After the rhythm of the lyrics in the chorus before recording was changed, Kurosu was unable to attend and submitted his own recorded vocals for Maaya Uchida to reference.
