"NOeSIS II - The Impermanence of Life" is a horror suspense fanfiction visual novel created in the time setting following "NOeSIS01: Memories of Lies." After the surgery
Yuki Shikakura underwent surgery and survived, but Shigure's family ended up burdened with loans as a result. Shigure and Chiyoda Sayomi take advantage of their free time to take on the cleanup of solitary deaths, hoping to ease their financial burden. As their encounters increased, a girl claiming to be a firefly appeared, and the boundary between the living and the dead gradually blurred as perceived by Shigure.
The people around Shiyu
After surgery, Yuki was able to do light activities and tried to help pay off family debts, but she was still plagued by nightmares and feelings of loneliness. Sayomi quickly adapted to cleaning and carrying tasks, but was afraid of the writhing white bugs. Young girl Ying is not skilled in interacting with people; One night suggested giving her another name, but Shigure opposed it.
A thousand nights and one night
In the fanfiction of this work, Chiya Takahira keeps searching for a way to eliminate Ichiya, yet she imitates her in behavior. After rewinding the precognitive dream, Ying Bai Yiye appeared in a ghostly personality. The state of the two and their influence on Shigure are part of the development of this fanfiction story and cannot be directly regarded as official experiences in the original series' sequels.
Reading and Production
Players read the text from Shigure's perspective and advance the plot through choices; This work does not feature voice acting. WeAreFun was responsible for chief planning, scriptwriting, programming, and UI; Yuurin and Yuan Daoxian handled line art and coloring respectively; Ming Ya handled the main interface background. Text proofreading includes Eagle White Snow Night and Super High School Apocalypse, with soundtrack credits by SLOS and Notzan ACT.
Release
The Steam store will develop and publish under the name Red × Balloon. The game entered early access on June 4, 2021, and was officially released on February 25, 2023. The current title includes the word "Remastered." It is an independently released doujin work; the "II" in the title does not mean it is the original series' "NOeSIS02 Feathering."
