Visitors' summer vacation
The young man originally came just to observe the city, but later lived with Akari, her senior Alicia, and the cat President Miaria. He comes to know New Venice as an outsider and meets a mysterious girl who repeatedly appears before him, a familiar girl. Both the male protagonist and this girl are original game characters, with the original design concept by the original author, Kozue Amano.
Water Capital and Navigator
The stage is the sightseeing city of New Venice on the water planet AQUA. The canal runs through the city, and a female navigator known as Undine guides visitors by gondola. The protagonist unexpectedly becomes an apprentice, allowing him to participate in daily tasks instead of always just observing as a tourist. The story spans 12 summer months according to the AQUA calendar.
Three groups of master and disciple
Dengli belongs to ARIA and is guided by Alicia; Lanhua· S. Granchester belongs to Himeya, and his predecessor is Akira; Alice Carroll belongs to the Orange Planet, with Athena as her predecessor. Alicia, Akira, and Athena are collectively known as the "Three Great Water Fairies." Akari and Ranka were still semi-familiar, and although Alice was still an apprentice, her piloting skills had already been recognized.
Events and branches
The plot includes events from the original work such as the rising tide phenomenon Aqua Alta, the luminous bell, and the upgrade exam, as well as game storylines related to AQUA's mysterious phenomena. The player's choices will change the direction of the story and the reactions of the companion girls. Presentation uses windows, dialogue bubbles, and animated effects; The voice acting covers characters including the male protagonist, while the anime version uses the original dubbing.
Sound and limited edition
BGM composed by Nobushige Baba; The theme song "BLUE BLUE WAVE" was written and composed by Chiyomaru Shikura, performed by KAORI. The September 28, 2006 release included the regular edition and the "ARIA Corporation Big Team" limited edition. The latter comes with two discs of music, featuring the game's BGM along with short versions of the OP and ED, and includes three SD models of Akari, Alicia, and President Aria.
