Summer at County No. 1 High School

Before the summer vacation of the second year of high school, two classmates had a conflict. Liang Zhirou stepped forward to intervene, but Ye Yuxiao was hit on the head by a chair while protecting her and was subsequently hospitalized. Previously, he regarded the class monitor who excelled academically as someone difficult to approach; After his injury, his interactions allowed him to see her daily life beyond her status as an honor student, and he began to reconsider his own future.

Ye Yuxiao and Liang Zhirou

Ye Yuxiao is 18 years old, with above-average grades. She originally thought getting into a regular undergraduate university was enough, and her family was very satisfied with this plan. Liang Zhirou is also 18 years old and has served as class monitor for two consecutive years, aiming to attend a top university in another city. Her parents had stable jobs but still needed to save for their daughter's future education. The difference between them was not limited to academic performance; their expectations for leaving the county town and life choices were also different.

Character personalities and relationships

Leung Chi Rou is gentle and responsible, willing to take care of class affairs, but she doesn't have many truly close friends. As Ye Yuxiao gradually got to know her, he began to link his desire to get closer to her with his own goals for further education. The story begins with a sudden accident and enters their daily lives, placing their relationship within family, education, and local environment. Leung Chi Rou is voiced by Jiu'er.

Music

The theme song "Dream Sky" was written by shin, composed by C.C., arranged by Elk Studio, performed by Qing Jue from Lingxi Town, and mixed by a poisonous mooncake. The soundtrack, released in March 2023, features 18 tracks, including 16 soundtracks, theme songs, and accompaniment. Tracks 1 to 9 were produced by Elk Studio, and tracks 10 to 16 by RAiNSE Yukan; Two of these tracks are different versions of "Leung Chi Lou."

Production and distribution

KIDFansClub was founded on July 11, 2002. Its early activities included Galgame community exchanges, localization, and fan creation. "Migratory Birds" was its first original Galgame. The game is published by TrueColor Games, with the Steam version launching in January 2023. The story and character introductions are voiced in Chinese, with voiceovers for characters other than Ye Yuxiao.

Liang Zhirou's hard work and summer tutoring

Leung Chi Rou did not excel academically from a young age. Her parents gave a lot to help her enter a better middle school. One day, her mother collapsed from overwork, which urged her to study seriously. Later, when she participated in Sakura Hua's competition, she saw the gap in opportunities between people and began to question whether her efforts were worth it. During the summer vacation, she tutored Ye Yuxiao at a fast food restaurant, aiming to reach the first-tier university cutoff in one consultation; Ye Yuxiao gradually learned to focus, ranked second in her class at the first diagnosis, and openly expressed in class that he wanted to catch up to her.

A two-point difference and a year of repeating a year

After the college entrance exam, Liang Zhirou was admitted to Yinghua University, while Ye Yuxiao was just two points behind and only received an admission letter from a local university. The homeroom teacher advised him not to risk his future, and the bookstore clerk Sister Wu suggested seeing Sakura in person first. Ye Yuxiao arrived in this city and talked about repeating a year with a fellow PhD student from her hometown, ultimately deciding to work hard for another year. At the train station, he made a promise with Leung Chi-you; A year later, the wrap up was a call from him answering the wait.

Proactive preparation after conversations by the riverside

After entering her senior year of high school, Ye Yuxiao began to think about giving up amid fatigue and the gap in grades. He met Liang Zhirou by the river and heard her express her doubts about the gap between effort and opportunity after the competition, which made him shift from studying with her to actively preparing for exams. After their last self-study session during winter break, the two returned to the riverside and agreed to come back together every year to enjoy the scenery; During the Spring Festival, they joined the temple fair, eating snacks, watching performances, and fireworks.

Homeroom teachers and volunteer training

When discussing her preferences, Ye Yuxiao hopes to get into Yinghua's school. Homeroom teacher Ms. Zheng agreed to his first-choice choice but also requested to keep a more stable second-choice option and undergo intensive training specially designed by subject teachers. After the setback in admission, Mr. Zheng pointed out that going out was the same as catching up with Liang Zhirou, and he needed to find a reason to want to go elsewhere.

A one-year promise at the station

After Ye Yuxiao decided to repeat the year, she asked Liang Zhirou to wait only one year for her, even saying that if she failed again, she would forget about herself. When seeing him off at the train station, she responded with a kiss and asked him to believe she could catch up. Their annual promise extended from the riverside to the station, linking re-exam preparation with reunion.
