"Epiphyllum in Love" is the final chapter of the #workshop short trilogy. In a world where memories can be bought and sold, the protagonist, having sold many memories, still remembers a girl named Xiao Yin, but cannot be sure what happened between them.

Memories become commodities
Technology makes memories no longer personal but can be priced, sold, and discarded. At the end of his life, the protagonist faces two choices: preserve the beautiful imagination before him or recover what could be painful real. After losing memories, people's relationships with the past and their understanding of themselves are shaken.
A meeting at school
Xiao Yin is shy and hard to approach, yet she strives to get close to the protagonist; Hua Ling, who is a classmate, is proactive and claims to be his ex-girlfriend, but this statement is somewhat disconnected from his feelings. Homeroom teacher Ms. Xu tried to help the protagonist adapt to the environment. School, postcards, and epiphyllum became concrete things connecting scattered memories.
Short story arrangement
The creators positioned the work as a compact story composed of two intersecting worlds, focusing on gradually identifying people and memories rather than exploring on a large scale. The Steam publisher is NVLMaker, and the store places it under the Tiny Dream series; "Rong Xue" and "Dream End" also belong to this short story series.
Eight original background tracks
The digital soundtrack was released on February 27, 2025, featuring eight original game BGMs: Joyful Routine, First Day, Fragments of Yesterday, Morning Laughter, Paths That Crossed, Evening Whispers, When We Parted, and Epiphyllum. The album's Artist and Composer sections list REEKUMM and Saul Robinson.
Encountering someone who has lost their memory
Xiao Yin is timid and hard to approach, yet tries to get back close to the protagonist who has lost all related memories. Hua Ling is proactive and cheerful, claiming to be his ex-girlfriend; Ms. Xu, who is in charge of the class, worked hard to help him adapt to the new environment. Memory can be bought and sold through technology, allowing these encounters to simultaneously involve the past he has already sold.
Qiu Lin and her past love
The story alternates between two pursuits: after losing his memory, the male lead searches for his past with Xiao Yin and Hua Ling, while Qiu Lin fills in the story in the present to understand why he sold his memories. Past experiences become postcard stories a hundred years later; Xu Hualing's feelings are also re-revealed through these two layers of narration.
The name of the Ephemeral Flower Institution
The male lead is the first volunteer to participate in the memory sales program. The first memory sold is related to the epiphyllum, which is how the organization got its name. In this society, memories can also be used for stock speculation; Government acquisitions are bad event memories, cosmetics companies have acquired bad shopping experiences.
Qiu Lin's choice and soul funeral
Qiu Lin once sold her memories but later resisted continuing to trade them. After clearing the game, you re-enter 'Soul Funeral' and face a different situation: using false memories to comfort those who have already sold their memories.
Continuing the scriptwriting invitation from the previous film
"Ephemeral Flower" was written by Fried Rice after the collaboration with "Dream End," inviting Qiu Si Lianyu to continue writing.
