The official synopsis of "0" uses Christmas and New Year gatherings to reflect the daily gathering of the institute's companions, and also mentions that armed men attack the place when everyone is gathered. Okabe thought of Mayuri's death in α timeline, but found that there was no phone or microwave at the time, and no reason for SERN to track her as usual. The identity of the attacker is not clearly stated in this briefing.
