Searching for a world that is still alive

Kyoya could not believe the world the girl said had ended, so he set out with her to search for other lifeforms. Abandoned buildings and open land form the backdrop of the journey; The protagonist initially wants to confirm whether anyone outside is still alive, then gradually shifts his attention to his companions.

The girl's mission

The girl believes she must repeatedly experience death to atone for human sins. Seeing her take pain for granted, Kyoya began to hope to teach her what happiness was. The story combines the desire to survive with the concept of continuous self-sacrifice, with relationship changes unfolding through interactions among peers.

A short story with no options

The work is a visual novel with no player choices or branching strategies. In its 2017 release announcement, Water Phoenix estimated reading time to be about three to five hours. The script and illustrations are handled by R, and the story focuses on the journey of two people, rather than rebuilding the world's management or combat system.

English name and new edition

The 2017 Steam version was originally titled "Stand by you," later updated to "Together We Live," published by KEMCO. The new edition adds Japanese and Chinese Simplified, and adjusts images and English translations; Japanese voice acting only corresponds to the female lead. The store retains the 2017 product release record and cannot count subsequent language and visual updates as first release content based on this.

Kagaya, Asagiri

Kyoya wakes up in the shadows and meets Asagiri, who is walking alone with her mission. The girl believes she must atone for a destroyed world, with death and resurrection repeating endlessly; Kyoya sets out with her to find the living, hoping to help her discover happiness beyond the mission. The Japanese voice actor for Asagiri is Mayu Matsushiro.
