Nightmare and Transfer Student
Takeshi Mikado studies at Akitsu High School and lives with his daughter, Shiori Sai, who is living with a foster family. He is constantly haunted by inexplicable nightmares, yet still tries to maintain his usual school days. Kazuha Kogen, who arrived in spring, seemed to know his secret, and the strange events surrounding her brought Takeshi out of his daily routine.
Four eras
The story spans Heian, Genroku, Bakumatsu, and modern times. In the Heian era, Hotaru, carrying a mission from the heavens, arrives in the human world and is saved by the onmyoji Abe Takahisa. She wavers between emotion and mission, and the 'Prince of Darkness' qualities revealed by Takahisa clash with the 'true prince' she seeks. The encounter of modern characters thus connects with long-standing choices.
The school and the Sai family
Shiori is Takeshi's cousin, classmate, and childhood companion; Her mother, Saisetsuko, raised her alone. Taiichi Arisaka, an outstanding student in track and field, is unwilling to fully open up to Take. Shiori's friend Eri Yoshikawa has feelings for Taiichi, and Kazuha Takahara's arrival affects their interactions.
Occult Research Society
Satoko Amano is the first-year president of the Mysticism Research Club, knowledgeable and able to guide others through anomalous events. Teacher Mikihisa Ashiya serves as the club advisor, while Sayo Tokiwa is the homeroom teacher of Take's class and a modern Japanese language teacher. Campus relationships and inheritance, as well as events related to magical arts, gradually intertwine.
Voice and reading functions
In this version, voice acting for characters other than the protagonist includes: Takahara Manyo is played by Makiko Omoto, Shiori Sai is voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi, Saya Tokiban is voiced by Shiori Katsuta, and Satoko Amano is portrayed by Eriko Matsui. Reading features include autoplay, skip, history, and fifty save slots, plus CG, music, and flashback appreciation.
The Second Arrival Edict and other versions
This game is based on the home console 'The Second Imperial Edict', with a different main cast from 'THE ORIGIN'. In addition to the main storyline of the four eras, two existing short stories are retained, and the 'Regretful Ritual Arc' is added.
Bonuses and Fixes
The first edition includes two radio dramas: 'Manyo's Newlywed Daiari~' and 'Satoko Amano's Sleep in the Infirmary.' The former uses a hypothetical newlywed life scenario, while the latter revolves around Takeshi resting in the health room. The 01.01 amendment released on December 21, 2012, removed license certification.
