Production and distribution
This is the 2016 version used for "The Two White Emperors," arranged by Shuntaro Kobayashi. The early "Kimigatame" included in the limited edition album of the song collection was arranged by Michio Kinugasa under the signature name Michio Kinugasa, with the two versions recorded separately.
Live string rearrangements and 2016 performances
Kenichi Arimura explained that "Kimigatame 2016" was decided to be used very early. The rearrangement retains the original imagery, replacing the early sequence strings with live strings, allowing this large-scale ballad to showcase string expression more fully.
On December 19, 2016, Kawasaki CLUB CITTA's 'Utawarerumono SUPER LIVE 2016' placed this song at the end of the main episode. The playlist was decided by staff centered around Naoya Shimokawa, and Suara did not participate in the song selection; She reflected on how she always stayed focused while singing, right up to the end.
