The first collaboration on a novel game

In an interview, Qiefu recalled that he gradually moved from making yuri doujinshi to book covers and other tasks, and later accepted an invitation to "Lilua and Xiaxia's Pure Lies." This was her first time participating in a novel game; She wanted to try new production methods through this, and after reading Eimei Asao's script, she would share her own ideas, rather than just completing illustrations according to the character list.

Adjust the color scheme based on the character's imagery

When introducing character designs, Qie Fu said that Liluya adopted a lily imagery matching her name. Early drafts were more mature with black accents, later changed to softer, more delicate colors. Xia Xia used sunflowers as her imagery. The green outfit in the first draft seemed too quiet, so yellow was added as the key color to better match her bright personality; Both revisions revolved around the impressions of the characters.

CG oil painting treatment

According to Qifu, "Lilua and Natsuxia's Pure White Lie" arranges effects for different CGs, conveying the atmosphere through details beyond facial expressions. This was also her first time continuing to refine the original artwork that had already been colored; Oil painting-style effects are often formed intuitively and are difficult to accurately explain and reproduce, posing a challenge within limited production time.
