Gosuto Mikawa signed the original concept and script for 'Seven Days with Sharks.'

In an interview before the release of the first volume in 2019, Mikawa recalled that the title "Tomodomo no Imoumou ga Oredake ni Uzai" first appeared during discussions with the editor and then gradually expanded into a story. He chose his friend's sister to gain a closer relationship than ordinary juniors, but different from his own sister.
At the end of each chapter in the first volume of 'Tomodomo no Imou ga Ore ni Dake Uzai,' the protagonist and Otoma are arranged for dialogue or monologue, providing a replay of the recently concluded story with a pre-narrative nature. In an interview before the release of the first volume in 2019, Mikawa explained this end-of-chapter structure.
