A visitor with six tatami mats

Kantaro tripped over a cat on the road, and after returning to a room about six tatami mats in size, he found a strange woman inside. The other party claims to be the cat and wants to repay his kindness; Kantaro does not believe he has ever saved her, and their explanations for this encounter have been inconsistent from the start.

Repaying kindness and accepting others

Their interactions were fueled by intense banter. The young man wants to maintain his own life, but the visitor insists on staying; repaying kindness gradually becomes a matter of how to view and accept the other person. The latter part also personifies the protagonists' conflicting emotions, turning their inner arguments into dialogue.

The rhythm of a short story

The author describes the work as an experimental novel focused on dialogue rhythm, with Hato responsible for the script and music, and Sadayuki Shichijo providing key artwork. The story doesn't rely on numerous scenes or a long storyline, but mainly revolves around the relationship between two people in a room, transitioning from absurd comedy to inner choices.

A meeting in a six-tier house

One day, the struggling Kitaro was tripped by a cat. When he returned to his six-tatami room, he found a stranger standing there. The work advances this sudden encounter at the pace of a short experimental novel.
