The starting point for composing and writing lyrics for theme songs
Staff discussion explaining that "Starship" was composed first; Orito had read the script and hoped to preserve the afterglow of the climax and complete a grand ending. Okano used Yuichi Ryomoto's short story "Chirusis to Amant" as the theme for the lyrics, and the two entered the same theme song through different segments.
Lia's recording and the accompanying track
Orito recalled that Lia first understood the story behind the lyrics and proactively requested to sing it again and again on the day of recording "Star Boat." Another track on the album, "Gentle Jena," performed by Ayaka Kitazawa, is a vocal arrangement of the show's BGM.
