Himeko and Setsumi are beautiful
Himeko once worked in a hospice and later became a patient herself. She forms a friendship with Setsumi, outwardly cheerful, and as her life nears its end, she asks Setsumi to accompany her to fulfill her wishes.
Red convertible
Himeko loves cars and owns a red Roadster. The car and travel continue the series' travel imagery, linking this friendship to the two traveling stories in the first chapter.
The location of the prequel
The original 'Narcissus 2' also tells Himeko from Setsumi's perspective, and is set several years before the first film. The PSP version arranged it as the second chapter, allowing readers to first get to know Setsumi and then return to the person who influenced her.
Follow-up and inclusion
The final chapter of the portable version, "Zero," continues to trace the rules of the seventh floor back to an earlier era. The tenth anniversary anthology places "Narcissus 2" and "Himeko Final Chapter" as core stories, supplementing the storyline of this group of characters.
2010 PSP Chapter 2: Uniforms and Practice
During summer vacation, Setsumi still wore a sailor uniform and practiced handstands at school. Facing her parents, she didn't dare admit she hated Tudou.
2010 PSP Chapter 2: Items Left Behind
Himeko left the dress, map, and 50,000 yen for Setsumi and asked Yuka to look after her.
2010 PSP Chapter 2: The Helper's Old Memories
The girl heard the rules on the seventh floor from other patients and, knowing her situation, cried. Himeko, who once cared for her, failed to explain this to her in advance and found it difficult to respond to her grief.
2010 PSP version: Voice sync and one-handed reading
The PSP version allows the display speed of audio text to match the length of the speech, and you can switch page turns to arrow keys, making it easy to continue reading with one hand.
