"Dream Ending" is a short visual novel developed by #workshop and published by NVLMaker. The sun's abnormal changes forced humans to build an ark and leave Earth. The protagonist, who was not eligible to board, stayed in the classroom doing problems until a girl asked him to confess to him.

Those left behind by the Ark
Five years ago, scientists discovered that the Sun was accelerating its changes and that the Earth was facing destruction. Humans concentrated resources to build a giant cosmic ark, successfully allowing some people to leave. But the protagonist is not eligible to board, leaving an insurmountable distance between humanity's grand plan to continue civilization and his personal life.
The final daily routine
Even knowing the end is near, the protagonist still chooses to do problems and take exams in the old classroom, trying to maintain his last bit of dignity and a normal life. The girl interrupts this arrangement, hoping to face the ending together with him; The story shifts from waiting alone to how the two spend their remaining time.
Short story structure
The work depicts a love story before the apocalypse within limited space, accompanied by an ending story. Space Ark is set in the background, with the main narrative centered on those who remain on the ground. The significance of everyday actions in an end-of-life environment is closer to the main focus of this work than how to pilot a ship or change the disaster itself.
Release and sound
The Steam version was released on July 22, 2019, offering full Chinese Simplified voice acting as well as Chinese Simplified, Traditional Chinese, and English text, supporting achievements and cloud saves. The store has included this work in the Tiny Dream series and separately listed the "Dream Ending - Drama" radio drama product; The radio drama and the main part are provided separately.
Builder of the Ark
The crisis of solar decay led to the formation of a coalition government, which concentrated remaining resources to build large arks, forcing some humans to leave Earth. Youths who did not qualify to ride the boat still returned to the classroom to prepare for the exam; Tang Leyin demanded he confess, and the two began to consider facing the apocalypse together.

The Dream Ending - Drama, released on July 22, 2019, includes three radio dramas: a six-minute sound for cold care, daily middle school life on the rooftop of a summer teaching building, and a short act where students borrow summer homework before school starts. Tang Leyin and the radio drama are both voiced by Xianta Wutong; Scripts include BaTe, GHosT, and CTR; audio production uses CTR, and offers WAV and 320kbps MP3.
Pills with remaining time
The young man was named Bi Sheng. People use dream drugs to suppress emotions to temporarily cope with doomsday syndrome; Strong emotional fluctuations can shorten the intervals between medications. Bi Sheng maintains his peace by doing test papers, while Tang Leyin forces them to face love and living together again. She needed to take her medication more frequently, and the pills were used up before Bi Sheng. The two spent their last night at the volunteer service station. A few days later, Bi Sheng returned to the classroom and took his last pill of medicine.
Sounds from the drifting cabin
The ending pushes time far into the future: the sounds of love preserved in the drifting cabin are heard by later generations, and the names Bi Sheng and Tang Leyin are reused. The lives of two people on Earth have ended, and the stories left by the voice continue in the lives of others.
The process of the screenwriter joining the project
Qiu Silianyu, co-screenwriter of "Dream End," was introduced by an acquaintance and joined the fried rice project to write about fried rice.
