The beginning of the redemption mission
Mizuya handed the syringe to Xiayue, asking him to take on the responsibility of saving the world. The drug transports him to another world called Mundus, where he fights Mortaris, who is said to corrode reality. The daily identity that once restricted him was thus broken, and a new mission immersed him.
The edge between reality and illusion
The author describes the story with a sense of realism akin to drug hallucinations, juxtaposing battle, violence, and abnormal judgment. Whether the hero's identity can be trusted, and what actions taken to save the world mean, are issues in the public introduction of the work. The story unfolds through Xia Yue's experience, without preemptively eliminating this uncertainty through encyclopedic explanations.
