Use names and keywords obtained from the story to complete the case relationship diagram. Relationships between characters—such as murder or kinship—can be connected by keywords, forming a verifiable structure for the reasoning.
Second generation: Colors of available keywords
The story text of the second game is shown in green, allowing for the entry of reasoning and logical keywords. The relationship chart is based on characters identified during each episode. Players identify and agree with words from the text before filling in character relationships.
Compilation Edition: Branching and Relationship Diagrams
In the 2023 Collection Edition, players organize relationship charts based on the names and keywords they have obtained. The previous approach may have revealed different truths about the case.
The first generation in the compilation: Organized during the process and confirmed at the end
The 2023 collection includes the first handbook, allowing readers to enter the main menu to "Reasoning Logic" to organize cases at any time during reading. In the image, you can move the cursor with the arrow keys. PS4/PS5 also have left stick movement, and the controls show mode switching, zooming in and out, and switching items before and after. The touchpad buttons on PS4/PS5 can open the keyword list. "Determining reasoning logic" is only used during the reasoning phase at the end of a chapter.
The first generation in the collection: the basis for investigation and evaluation
The first edition of the 2023 collection lists general options, self-questioning and answering, and reasoning logic results as the main basis for investigation and evaluation. Evaluation is divided into five levels: S, A, B, C, and D, with S being the highest and D the lowest; Level C and above are considered cleared and can be moved to the next chapter; level D only appears at Bad End.
First generation in the collection: Conditions for chapter opening
The original chapter selection interface initially offered only one selectable chapter, gradually increasing as you progressed through the game. Some chapters require special conditions to be met before they appear.
Three generations in the collection: View history
In the 2023 collection, you can view the history of the reasoning logic interface for the third generation. PS5 uses the OPTIONS button, PS4 uses the OPTIONS button.
