Summer Pockets' optional collectible battle mini-game includes capture, deck building, and compatibility strategies.
Capture, decking, and affinity
The original gameplay description describes the stages of setting traps to obtain island monsters, building decks, and arranging battles based on characteristics. Winning first place leads to another ending, along with a mini-game-themed story and a dedicated ending theme.
Included products and reading options
The original Switch and Switch RB system pages of PROTOTYPE list Shimamonファイト and allow skipping mini-games to continue the story. RB Also includes Shima Ponfait.
Original: Participation and Capture
The original entry process starts with the sea icon on July 29th, choosing to purchase the same item as her, then confirming participation. At the start, the sea provides bait such as sugar water. Catch is not solely determined by location: the same location and the same bait may also yield different islands within the candidate range, and a single result cannot be considered a single product.
The original HeliosAlpha gameplay record lists twenty types of bait, ten placement locations, and one hundred catchable island monsters. Unlock bait and locations will be retained for subsequent playthroughs; The number of traps you can place each day depends on your ranking, increasing from the initial two to a maximum of five.
Original: Battles and Rankings
Battles are accessed via the blue icon at the bottom right of the map, with a maximum of two matches per day, and each side using up to three island monsters. Dao Meng has one to five star levels and three counter attributes; Players decide who enters the field and their order, and the actual battles proceed automatically. HeliosAlpha also observed that if the same battle is replayed in the same order after reverting to previous selections, damage values and results will repeat, so reloading repeatedly does not necessarily change the battle outcome.
The leaderboard consists of Yueri and thirty-five opponents. The July 30th tutorial can only be fought against the sea; after victory, you start from tenth place; if you don't fight or lose, you rank thirty-sixth. Before the sea ranks eighth, the winner and loser exchange rankings; After that, each victory only advances one place, and only after defeating the seventh to second place can you challenge the first place.
Original: Bait acquisition
Winning battles also expands your bait options. The original playthrough record of Taiyaki is: defeating Tenzen grants Insect Jelly; He defeated Haiko, who ranked eighth and failed at cooking, and won the failed fried rice. For the ultimate fried rice, you need to first defeat the ocean in the tutorial, then defeat the enhanced ocean in the eighth place.
RB: Entry and ranking changes
Alka's RB English guide matches the watch options purchased at the candy store on July 29th to Daomon, and the wristband option corresponds to doubles. This guide also reminds you that after Shi joins the tournament, some opponents' rankings will change, so in the original version, you need to recheck your opponents based on their ranking to get bait.
Original Guide: The Final Step of the Island Monger's Ending
Seiya's original PC strategy also includes the hidden opponent battle after ranking first in the ending process: after taking first place, you must defeat that opponent to enter Shimamon END.
