Treasure Hunt Day becomes a day of repetition

High school student Taila spent almost all her summer vacation on GPS geohunting. One time, while going out with friends to look for a goal, reality and illusion begin to intertwine: tomorrow hasn't arrived, and after flipping the calendar, life returns to the same day. Taira and her companions are trapped by an abnormal force called the "Time Vortex," gradually realizing that what they encounter is not an ordinary loss or game malfunction. This story, which begins with a real-life treasure hunt, quickly expands the search for hidden treasures on the surface into questions about the cause of anomalies, lost time, and the true treasure.

Loopers group portrait

Taila meets other boys and girls who are also trapped in the loop, known as the "Loopers." Mia is mysterious and guarded, one of the central characters of the story; Simon is responsible for leading a group, along with Hilda, Leona, Joe, Holly, and Ritapon. Everyone copes with the repetitive day differently, and the team needs to stay connected, share cues, and decide whether to continue trying to escape through prolonged stagnation.

Short film Kinetic Novel performance

The game tells a fixed route story through written narration, character illustrations, voice acting, and dynamic performances. Treasure hunting as the starting point of the story continuously echoes the theme of "searching"; Partnerships within the time loop and the progression of events are the narrative's focus. Key listed it as a Kinetic Novel, and the Switch publisher provided about eight hours of auto-play time as a reference for length.

Resetting the body and the memories left behind

The time vortex repeatedly resets the physical state of August 1st, yet those trapped within it retain their memories. Pleasure does not eliminate the wear and tear caused by repetition; Simon tries to protect his companion on the verge of mental breakdown by falling into a deep sleep. After everyone leaves, Mia's companions only reenact the last day and cannot remember the next round of promises.

Hilda and Reona's time capsule

Reona was busy with her studies in elementary school, spending less time with Hilda, mistakenly thinking they were estranged, and left regret in a letter in the time capsule. When Hilda dug up and read the letter, the sleeping Reona woke up. After the exit appears, the two hold hands and leave the time vortex.

Dinosaur erasers and the unwilling tomorrow

As a child, Terra gave Mia a dinosaur eraser at the hospital, telling her that repeatedly giving treasures to others would accumulate wish power, and returning them to its owner would lift the spirit. Mia placed an eraser into a geographical treasure hunt exchange and prayed that tomorrow would not come in the face of the surgery on August 2. When the exit appeared, she still chose to stay out of fear.

The Ferris Wheel's Letter and Reality Treasure Hunt

Mia finds Terra's confession letter at the Ferris wheel and decides to face the future. In reality, Terra and Simon search for the dinosaur eraser, while Black and Kai, who have resumed operations, join in. Friends, streamers, and treasure hunters help expand the search. After Terra finds the eraser, the story shifts to Mia's hospital room waiting; The epilogue shows her waking up and reuniting with her companion and Terra.

Three-act direction and project changes

Kazuma Takada and Ryukishi07 jointly discussed the three-act structure from the plot drafting stage. Early projects once considered placing human body fragments in treasure chests, but later abandoned that idea and instead used a horror beginning, middle adolescence, and ending to form a short story.

Childhood voice and facial expressions are performed

Tomohito Takatsuka first recorded young Terra; Before Mia had recorded, he provided two versions: one with a distinct child voice and one with a slightly softer original voice. The performance team first arranged basic facial expressions, then listened to dubbing to verify and revise the visuals.
