A retrospective of the character presentation in 'Recolove'
When discussing the handheld screen in "Recolav," Sugiyama explained that the characters are mainly presented through polygons and images drawn on textures. This is his 2018 review of how the game was made.
Choose the narrative atmosphere for video shooting
He explained that Recolav lets players directly film character videos, and the calm love story doesn't suit this gameplay, so it uses a bright and lighthearted romance story.
LoveR's settings and visuals collaborate
In a pre-IPO interview in 2018, Sugiyama explained that he first gave the personalities and experiences of the six characters to Jixing, who then transformed them into appearances; Yumina's ponytail was also at his request. The art and programming for character display were once difficult to adjust, but after Ji Xing proposed the visual direction, the team adjusted the lighting accordingly.
LoveR's manuscript revision and selection
Jixing will place the character drafts and reread them, and Sugiyama will propose further corrections. In the script, Sugiyama sets the stage for players to understand the motivation behind helping the heroine, and turns different answers into opportunities for active thinking; The choices mentioned in the interview do not interrupt the story with each answer.
Added and re-recorded Kiss's script
Sugiyama initially had no plans to make "Love Love Days" for "Kiss," but after seeing player feedback on the post-confession story, he decided to add this part. During the photo interaction production, he found the characters' reactions were insufficient, so he rewrote the script and added voice acting in January 2013.
