"Room of Darkness" (暗い部屋) is a Windows digital novel written by Yosuke Karabe, published by the Dark-lined Room Production Committee in 2010. After the door opened
At the beginning, the boy is trapped in a dark, dark room, and his mother has already passed away. His previously isolated life was suddenly interrupted, and he was discovered and rescued; After being hospitalized, the boy was entrusted to relatives for care, and thus a new family life began. The story begins with the changes inside and outside the room, and the subsequent narrative gradually shifts to the family that took him in.
The family members
The protagonist, Seitaro Hino, is taken in by his relative, Yoko Oshikawa, to care for him. The Oshikawa family also had Yoko's husband Kenji, daughter Li Yizi, and son Ei; Seitaro's mother, Hinohiko Hino, has passed away. Seitaro and Li Ieko are close in age, and the perspectives of the two children and other family members present this period of life together.
The presentation of words and sound
This digital novel retains a strong proportion of textual narration and incorporates images and sound performances. The author Araikou, who played the game, described the text as short passages gradually appearing from the bottom of the screen, with characters appearing as swaying silhouettes; This display method differs from the fixed paginated reading interface.
