The past of Takano Sanshi

Building on the situation revealed in previous chapters, this story revisits Takano's childhood and important encounters, explaining why she insists on pushing forward with the Apocalypse Plan. The characters' motivations are woven into their personal experiences, making the actions behind the Hinamizawa disaster more than just an invisible threat.

Piece together fragments

The different perspectives known as "fragments" fill in the causes of events, helping readers re-understand the connection between the series of mysterious deaths and the great disaster. The previously scattered experiences of multiple characters become the conditions that influence the final outcome at this stage.

Facing the ending together

Rika and Hanyu need to find viable opportunities before overwhelming threats, and whether their companions can cooperate becomes crucial. This chapter serves as the conclusion of the 'Explanation'; Xinghai Society's novels also rewrite this part of the story, but the volume divisions and publication dates should be distinguished from the Steam game chapters.

Included in 'Cui'

This story is included in PS3/Vita's Higurashi When They Cry and is part of its nineteen-story collection, offering full voice and cross-platform archives.

The story of the latest version begins

After enduring hardships, Rika and her club mates once again face a closed future. A young girl decides to join them, joining forces to fight for a chance to break free from despair.

Miyoko sought help in the phone booth

The past paragraph rewinds the time to Showa 32 (1957). After escaping the facility, Miyoko hides in a phone booth on a rainy night while pursuing her, seeking help from Hifumi Takano. This call leaves her former predicament. Later, using the name Takano Sanshi, she also took the initiative to negotiate with Kokonoki when Hinamizawa's research encountered obstacles.

The last fragment with Akasaka

After completing the fragment assembly, there is still one piece that needs to be filled, which shows Akasaka's will to save Rika. In the final world, he returns to Hinamizawa in June of Showa 58; When Lihua saw him, she hugged him, and in the major crisis that followed, she finally waited for him to come to her rescue.

Irie and the past of research institutions

Irie's father undergoes personality changes due to an accident, and he chooses the path of a psychiatric surgeon. The Ritual Festival's Chapter also reveals the inhumane research conducted by the Irie Agency: Takano promoted drug administration and human experiments, and the main perpetrator of the serial dismemberment case was once used as a living subject for research.

Shiyin learns that Wushi is alive

When Irie was in danger, Shion and Kasai arrived to assist. Shion later learns that Satoru is still alive; Irie explained that he had not yet regained consciousness, but showed faint signs of recovery in his brainwaves over the past year, promising to take him back to Hinamizawa.

Mion's decisive battle after June

The final direct battle was between Mion and Kokogi, who suppressed her opponent with aikido. After the Takano plan failed, Tomitake appeared before her. The ending describes how the friends finally cross the June of Showa 58 and step into a life they had never reached before.

Original PC: Fifty fragments with prerequisites

The second part offers fifty fragments, which readers can choose to view, but most require reading other fragments before entering. Different preceding causes gradually connect this reading order.

Original PC: Yui Fills in Lost Memories

Rika did not inherit the key memories of Takano from the Kill Arc. Yu Ru told her the identity of the enemy; Upon learning this, Lihua decided to seek help from her friends.

Original PC: Discussing countermeasures through manga

Rika uses comic making as the topic and entrusts the dangers she faces to her club members for discussion. Based on this, the partners deduce the characters and the situation and plan countermeasures.

Original PC: Forty-eight hours of fake reports

The opponents use a false report stating that Rika was dead for forty-eight hours, shaking the judgment relied upon by the emergency manual. Oishi, Kumagai, and forensic personnel coordinated the false testimony at the moment of death, trying to prevent the operation from taking time.

Original PC: Transmitter, Urayama and Clinic

The companions used the transmitter on Irie to lure the enemy in reverse, luring the mountain dog to the inner mountain. Satoko's traps and Mion's command supported this journey; Kasai, Akasaka, Irie, and Shion entered the clinic to rescue Tomitake.

Original PC: Break through the village encirclement

After the rescue, Kasai shoots, Shion observes, Akasaka drives a bulletproof vehicle, and Tomitake covers the shooting. The companions broke through the village's encirclement and successfully summoned the foreign dogs.

Original PC: Tomitake's protection decision

In the end, Tomitake protects Takano by saying he needs treatment and expresses his desire to live together.

Selection and consolidation of original PC music

The original PC "being" was used in the scene where Takano declared war, with Ryukishi07 requesting to fade in and raise the volume at the climax. Pre-Holder's "Liberating" expands from a hidden ending candidate to multiple uses, becoming the finale of the work.
