Reading and organizing the art book
When preparing the 2011 "Rainbow Spectrum: Colors" art book, Kiyotaka Haimura first considered keeping the price under 3000 yen and preferred softcovers, which were easy to open for viewing. He also plans to add his own notes to each illustration he uses, whereas previously, such text was mainly used in website drafts and cover images.
Volume 6: Handling of the shape of the front-line painting
While illustrating the frontispiece for volume 6 of the novel 'A Certain Magical Index,' he depicted the golem appearing with Shelley Cromwell as the process of various objects gathering. Shapes can change during this process, and he believes that objects that do not have fixed shapes are easier to draw.
Character requirements for short stories in the art collection
In the same conversation, original author Kazuma Kamachi recalled that after receiving an invitation to write a new short story for the art book, Haimura requested that Kamijou not appear and instead depict other Academy City characters.
