Demons and Paradoxes
The story calls people with supernatural abilities "demons," and the strange cases they cause are called "paradoxes." Cyber detective El is skilled in hacking and collaborates with the demon Cat Steria in the box; The investigation was mainly conducted through the fictional social platform Parroter, so there was no need to visit the site.
Accounts, citations, and final reasoning
Players first identify people by their posts, link public and private accounts, then find the password to recover deleted data and cite posts that support inference. Finally, fill in the topic tags you obtained in the corresponding positions to complete the explanation of the case. The official version has nine levels, each chapter covering one to two timelines; There are no time limits or failure penalties for reasoning, and hints can also be used.
Investigate partners
El and the cat Steria inside the box have known each other for five years. Long-term cooperation builds trust, but online communication still leaves parts of the other unfamiliar with each other. In interviews, screenwriter Antler portrays El as an ordinary internet user who is somewhat arrogant and habitually judges others through the screen.
Production Background
According to developer interviews released in August 2026, DigitalCats consists of three core members, with Antler responsible for programming, scripting, and production progress. During development, different speaking styles, relationships, and replies were designed for each account, and the daily remarks of survey subjects became material for shaping characters and identifying identities.
Ending theme
The game uses Kon Nekoda's 'Hakoiri Musume' as the ending theme. The song was previously included in "Great Success," and the game uses a separately produced version by Synthesizer V AI Ongachi Una. This version was later released as a download card with accompaniment.
Versions and demos
The Steam version will be released on April 29, 2026, supporting Japanese, English, and Chinese Simplified. A free trial opens a level from Chapter 1, and your save can be carried over to the full version.
On August 5, 2026, G-MODE announced it would be responsible for releasing the Nintendo Switch port, with plans to release it within 2026.
