"Beyond Summer" is a text adventure developed by Kazuhide Oka, and is an expanded remake of the free version of "Beyond Summer." Players connect with Natsuno, a girl living in a post-apocalyptic world, through an old computer.

A computer connects both sides
While sorting through his grandmother's belongings, the player finds an old computer and hears Natsuno's voice after booting up. Her society was destroyed by disaster half a year ago, yet the world the player lives in still maintains an ordinary summer life. Why the two sides can communicate, and where Natsuno is actually becomes a question running through the journey.

After leaving Tokyo, Natsuno gets separated from her classmates and loses her parents at the station along the way. With the railway suspended, she could only keep walking. Infected individuals lose their sanity and attack others, but the true cause of the disaster remains unknown; While searching for a place to stay, she also longed for someone to listen to her.
Advancing travel through dialogue
Players cannot directly enter Natsuno's world; they can only communicate via computer and give action instructions, accompanying her through encounters and farewells with other girls. The original mainly relied on keyboard input commands, while Beyond retained this method and added the ability to select commands with a controller.
A complete supplement
This edition is remade using Unity, incorporating continuously updated characters and storylines from the free version, along with a new character and related story, multiple CG images, and some new soundtracks. Shiki, who performed the theme song, also provided a new insert song.
