Mountain roads at the end of summer
College student Han Hui arrives at Purple Mountain at the end of summer and unexpectedly encounters a mysterious girl named He Jia. The two toured the park together, reminiscing about fading childhood memories, and what was once a journey alone turned into a shared experience.
Two companions
Han Hui was initially downcast, while He Jia led her forward with a lively and warm attitude. Spending time together helped Han Hui temporarily escape her sadness and made her realize that He Jia might not just be an ordinary girl she met by chance.
Reading Forms and Series
The game tells short stories in a linear fashion, avoiding multiple routes and strategies. The Steam version, developed by Magenta Factory and published by Ju Cai, was released on August 19, 2014; The later work "Hundred Songs" reappears with He Jia, but with a multi-storyline, multi-ending structure.
Father's Memories in the Definitive Edition
Han Hui's father was an architect who once took her and his wife to Zhongshan for a trip. Their father-daughter relationship gradually grew distant as they grew older, only improving after entering university, but soon after, their father passed away. Han Hui then goes up the mountain alone to find childhood memories, and when she runs out of water, she meets He Jia; The man gave her tea and traced the location from her memory based on her description.
Tea room messages and promises of goodbye
The old scenery was neglected and preserved, disappointing Han Hui. He Jia took her to a nearby café. The manager mentioned the message left by the architect, and only then did Han Hui realize the designer was her father and knew the manager knew their family. When you leave the teahouse and return to the old scene, life has come back to life. After parting, she learned from others that He Jia was the mountain master's third daughter, the Purple Fox, and began preparing for their next meeting. The above specific experience belongs to "Shan Gui Yi: Definitive Edition."
Definitive Edition and two sets of images
"Mountain Osmanthus I: Definitive Edition" is available as DLC for "Mountain Osmanthus II," integrating two sets of "Mountain Osmanthus" from 2012 and 2014. Han Hui and He Jia's voices were resampled, and Li Qiucheng and the store manager recorded it again. When launching via the Steam library, players can access this version in the game selection box.
