In his May 2024 production report, Miyazo reflected that when searching for a soft and cute voice for Hina=Berric, he first consulted a familiar voice director and was recommended to Shimashima Hakase. After listening to her voice sample, he judged it matched the character's direction and decided to invite her to act.
