An encounter in the ruins

The story is set in a church after the city has fallen into ruin, with a silver-haired girl named Kaoru appearing in this setting. Their meeting links their personal relationship to the end of the world, with companionship on the journey becoming the main thread. The official description of this relationship is like a romance in the endgame, with the plot suspense centered around the world before you and the encounter itself.

Imagery of dreams and reality

The producers mention the butterfly imagery in Zhuangzi's 'On the Equality of Things' to illustrate the work's interest in dreams, reality, and self-awareness. The painting uses 2D hand-drawn rendering, with ruins and the girl's image forming a primary visual contrast. This is a statement of the work's creation, but it does not mean the story offers the sole answer to a philosophical question.
