A life arranged by me
Iris was born in a small country as the second princess. She lived a constrained life from a young age, and at eight was arranged to marry into a neighboring country, but her life afterward was far from stable.
Two opposing desires
The story places her, who hopes to survive, and warriors who do not want to continue living, in the midst of war. Their companionship revolves around "being needed by others," responding to the series' life-and-death theme through a different historical setting from the Seventh Floor Hospital.
Relationship with the Three Hokage
This story originally belonged to one of four sets of stories in "Die Dritte Welt," sharing themes with the Modern Hospital arc but with an independent historical background and cast. The original character page lists Iris and the voice actress Riko Hirai.
Anniversary edition
The Steam version released on April 18, 2016, as the 10th Anniversary Anthology DLC, features re-recorded voice acting and updated illustrations, supporting both English and Japanese. Additional content includes "1993," continuing the short story "1980" as a supplement to "Himeko Final Chapter."
