Memory preservation system
The development of information science and brain science has led to e-Memory technology, which can record human memories. After the increase in related crimes, the Japanese government implemented strict regulations, banning the preservation of memories of living people but allowing the use of the technology on the deceased. The state-run Connect Center provides telephone conversations with the deceased, and the retention itself has a limited period.
August 24th
University student Hiroki Kusuhara finds it hard to accept the sudden passing of his high school friend Mizuri Sora. With only six days left before her memory retention period, her friend Sho Amemiya suggested retrieving the data from the Connect Center server. Their actions uncover secrets behind the facility and draw them into a battle over memory technology.
Reading and divergence
The game uses text, character voices, and dynamic cutscenes to advance the story. Key choices may lead to a bad ending, and players must continue to uncover the truth through various decisions. The main characters also have Japanese dubbing, with both English and Japanese versions sharing the same characters.
