School life before Christmas
The official story introduction centers on a second-year high school boy. Because of his past experiences, he is not good at Christmas and has lost faith in love, only daring to look at his admired senior Haruka Morishima from afar. When winter arrived, he realized this might be the last time he could spend Christmas with her in high school, so he decided to change his habit of avoiding romance.
The protagonist, having lost faith in love due to past Christmas experiences, has been longing for Haruka Morishima, the third-year senior he admires from afar. When winter arrives, he realizes this will be Morishima's last year before graduation to spend Christmas with her, so he starts making friends with female classmates; The protagonist himself is still a second-year high school student.
Several female leads
The protagonist's social circle includes honor student class member Ayatsuji Koto, childhood friend Rihoko Sakurai, Kaoru Tanamachi, Sae Nakata, junior Nanasaki Ai, and senior Haruka Morishima. Each character is in different grades and clubs, and the route lets players experience the protagonist's interactions with them on campus, rather than telling the story from the perspective of a single female lead.
Action maps and conversations
Each day is divided into four periods: Rest 1, Rest 2, Lunch Break, and After School. Players can arrange their destinations from the action map. When talking with female classmates, choose from topics like worldly topics, study, sports, entertainment, food, fashion, and romance; Hitting a topic can change affection and mood, and good interactions can trigger reward events or after-school dates.
Version range
The original PS2 version was released on March 19, 2009; In 2011, PS2 and PSP versions of 'Ebi Collection + Amagami' were released, and the official website homepage also records patches for the PS Vita version. The console version was produced by Enterbrain, with music by Noriyuki Iwadare.
Personal profile
The six female leads belong to different classes: Kotoba Ayatsuji and Kaoru Tanamachi are in Class 2-A, Rihoko Sakurai is in Class 2-B, Sae Nakata and Ai Nanasaki are in Class 1-B, and Haruka Morishima is in Class 3-A. Character interests also affect conversation arrangements: Ayatsuji prefers reading, Rihoko likes snacks, and Nanasa enjoys club activities and the sea.
Music and soundtrack
On April 17, 2009, a three-disc soundtrack album was released, featuring BGM, ending songs, and classic FM mode music, totaling 74 tracks, composed by Noriyuki Iwadare. The ending song "Always, Just Like This..." is performed by Kaori Nazuka, the actress known for lyrics by Ayatsuji.
