An isolated mountain villa
The manor is connected to the outside world by a suspension bridge; the former prosperity has faded, and the interior space has taken on a puzzling layout. The successive deaths caused those gathered here to suspect each other. The history and structure of the venue itself may be related to events, so players need to understand spatial observation alongside character testimonies.
Freedom to investigate
Investigation allows players to choose locations, view evidence, and talk to people present. Witnesses may not be honest, and there may be contradictions between information, so getting an answer does not necessarily confirm the facts. Players must compare different sources to establish explanations of the characters' actions, motivations, and case progression.
Identification and the ending
The game allows accusations against different characters, but requires corresponding reasoning processes. Different inferences can lead to different branches, yet the story still retains the true course of events that need to be uncovered. The production team organized the reading section with numerous character expressions, backgrounds, and performance footage, presenting both the investigation progress and the tense relationships between the characters.
Ink Shadow Flowing Years and the theme song
Mo Ying Liunian includes five art setting materials and the theme song of the same name, released on June 16, 2025. The theme song is performed by Everyone D Friend, arranged by Yu Guan, lyrics by Ke Yue, and Gong Xun responsible for post-production; These responsibilities are publicly introduced through the DLC.
Representing the escort agency, he came to celebrate the birthday
Bei Yan and senior sister Hong Yan represent the Yanmen Escort Agency at Duandao Manor to celebrate the manor lord Xiang Guanglei's birthday. After the two mysterious guests arrived, the manor owner changed the originally planned guest room for the senior sisters and asked the butler to take them to a side room.
Searching after the dinner
On a stormy night, Xiang Guanglei was late at the banquet, and Bei Yan helped search for the manor owner. Outside the tightly closed gate, everyone found him dead, and the only bridge down the mountain had been cut off.
Xiang Shiwen's commission
When Beiyan and Xiang Shiwen first met, they had a very pleasant conversation. After the murder occurred, people debated whether to report it to the authorities or handle it internally according to martial arts rules; Xiang Shiwen appointed his only trusted bei Yan to investigate.
