Poetic sound and enlightenment in history
The story revolves around Shion's experiences after leaving the boarding school and returning to a familiar environment in Showa 57. She met and developed feelings for Satoshi Hojo, and his subsequent disappearance became something she could never let go. The following year, Keiichi Maehara's appearance once again entangled this memory with the sisters' feelings.
Reinterpreting the Flowing Flow Chapter
The events previously observed by Keiichi present new motives and information from Shion's perspective. Readers need to distinguish between what the character has seen with their own eyes, what others have heard, and their own speculation. In a 2005 interview, Ryukishi07 explained that the concept for Shion-related was already formed during the production of the Wataru arc, while the direction and presentation angles for both episodes have changed. The story of the latest version begins
In 1972, Shion left the boarding school and returned to her hometown, began living at Okomiya Palace, and gradually became attracted to Satoshi. The family's rules and Satoshi's situation keep them from getting close.
Birth order and two names
According to the original PC Memei arc, the current name Shion was originally the eldest daughter Mion in childhood, and the one now called Mion was actually the younger sister Shion. After swapping identities as children, tattoo rituals fixed their status and names in opposite positions; While imprisoned, Mion calls Shion 'sister' in prison, referring to their real birth order.
Permitted living still comes with restrictions
After Shion left St. Lucia Academy, Kasai conveyed the main family's decision: submit withdrawal procedures, transfer to Okimiya's school, and be allowed to live under the name Shion Sonozaki. However, for now, she is forbidden from approaching Hinamizawa, impersonating Mion's name, or appearing in public. Her social life was still constrained by family rules.
The resentment and imprisonment after Satoshi's disappearance
Satoshi's tenderness allows Shion to see the hope she once lacked in her life. After he disappeared, Shion directed her loss and resentment at the Sonozaki family, and became jealous of her sister's feelings for Keiichi. After the festival, she imprisoned Mion and impersonated her, using other characters' understanding of Mion in her own actions.
The back-and-forth and falling at the end
Shion rides a motorcycle from Xinggong Apartment to the Kei family and stabs him, then returns to the apartment; Fell upon re-entering the residence. The police's statement of being close to the same moment is the presumed time of death, not that two events must occur at the same moment.
