The doll and the arm-severed incident
One late night in April 201X, the grocery store owner lost an arm in the backyard of his shop. He claimed the killer was a doll kept in the store, but there were no other witnesses at the scene, and the doll and the severed arm disappeared together. The unexplained attack became the starting point of the investigation.
The other side of the city
In the story, the Variants are supernatural beings that disrupt the human world, while the Disobeyers confront them from the shadows. Characters like Yuu and Chiharu become entangled in these events, with both anomalous forces and intertwined intentions behind the cases.
Investigation and reasoning
Players select scenarios on the map and read case progress; Backgrounds and moving maps use 3D images. The reasoning system asks questions about what has already happened. Once you answer correctly enough times, you can unlock short stories and other rewards.
Released in English
Fruitbat Factory handled the English release, and the Steam version was released on March 30, 2016. The release announcement introduced visual adjustments during the localization process and explained that the game came with an official digital artbook.
