Twinkle Snow debuted
In March 2010, Akari Tsuda debuted with the ending theme "Twinkle Snow" from "WHITE ALBUM2 -introductory chapter-." She later continued to sing the final chapters of "Ai suru Kokoro" and "Kokoro wa Itsumo Anata Kiwa ni," as well as the console version of "Koi no Kakou Kata" (Koi no Kakou wa Shiawa no Kakowa); The TV anime insert song is titled "Twinkle Snow '13."
Personal records
Her solo albums include "Key of Dreams" (February 2011), "WAVE OF EMOTION" (April 2013), and "COLOR OF LIGHT" (December 2020). In addition to the game's theme song, she also performed "Kono Sekai ni" from the OVA "ToHeart2 Dungeon Travelers" and "Believe" from the radio drama "Instructor of the Sky Battle Mage Trainee."
Front-call training and early collaboration
At about twenty, Tsuda Juri entered a music vocational school to formally study singing and recorded demo recordings for composer students. She often needed experience singing as soon as she got a song, which trained her ability to quickly understand and express the world of the piece.
Senior collaborator Masashi Kosaka has collaborated with her on over a hundred demonstration songs. "The Boy Who Became a Star" also appeared in early demos; during the 2020 production of "COLOR OF LIGHT," the original single segment was expanded to full length.
Lyrics and rock throughout the album
While producing "WAVE OF EMOTION," she wrote the lyrics for "Special Brightness" and the title track, learning to adjust the length of the text and melody; Kenichi Mura offers advice on the sound and balance of words. She expressed her desire to sing rock songs more than a year ago, and finally realized it with her title track.
Arrangement changes and vocal roles
When recording "Twinkle Snow '13," she did not deliberately change the original vocal style, but the live band and strings naturally made the singing more dramatic. "Chance It!" requires a sense of a children's chorus. She first listens to nursery rhymes and children's program songs, then imagines three children's personalities performing them separately.
"My Wish ~Itsu no Hi mo tsutsutenmo~" is performed with her natural voice to preserve the youthful innocence, abandoning her usual falsetto. Although "NEXT STAGE" expresses the feelings of idols toward their supporters, she still retains her own vocal style and adjusts it as the recording and singing direction continues.
The narrative of the entrusted lyrics and the final piece
"Hitohira no Ai" was written by Rena Uehara at the request of her, and after exchanging emotions over the phone, Uehara completed it. It was the last track recorded for "COLOR OF LIGHT"; She sings the melody left by Kinugasa Michio with the feeling of softly talking to herself on her way home at dusk.
Before recording "Reminiscence Train," she waited until the lyrics were completed before deciding on the direction of expression, turning the characters' emotions and scenery into storytelling word by word.
WAVE OF EMOTION: express each song by track
When Akari Tsuda talked about "Koi no Nakoi," she wanted to show a more lively side than her previous ballads due to its moderately fast and slightly upbeat melody; When singing, she focuses on maintaining the support and clarity of her voice.
Tsuda originally thought the ending theme "Thanks a lot" for the fighting game "AQUAPAZZA" should be powerful, but found it didn't match the melody; After taking the suggestion, she switched to singing with a sound that was almost like a soft hum.
"Starry Night" is Tsuda's first time facing a ballad accompanied only by piano. At first, she was uneasy, but then decided to directly present her own candor at the time and complete the performance in that direction.
WAVE OF EMOTION: a change in creative conception
When writing the lyrics for "Special Brightness," Tsuda wanted to envision an RPG-style story due to the dense digital sound; After trying to find the right words, they eventually turned to expressing everyday feelings and gratitude to supporters.
In This World: Paragraphs and Singing Imagery
When Tsuda performs "Kono Sekai ni," he imagines the verse as telling each person one by one, and the chorus deepens this message; She uses a mother's love for her child as the imagery in her song.
