Early involvement of Daisuke Kikuta

Daisuke Kikuta has been involved since Elements Garden was established in 2004, handling composition, arrangement, and music production.

Early vocal and group appearance

Uematsu chose to include "Hoshi☆ni Ganari wo" in the second compilation because it was the first PC game vocal commission accepted in the early days of Elements Garden. At that time, he hoped to personally complete the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, using the work to build the team's image.

Blessed Campanella: Team meetings

While producing 'Blessing Campanella,' due to long-term collaboration with Windomiru and many commissioned tracks, Elements Garden members participated in joint meetings. Uematsu recalled that Kikuta, as a familiar arranger for the company, was confirmed to participate from the start.

Compilation Two: Conceptualizing Male Vocal Music

When producing the new song "Elements Garden II -TONE CLUSTER-," the team wanted to add male vocal artists who had been less involved in vocal music. Uematsu proposed inviting his favorite Hironobu Kageyama and expanding the team's musical range through different singers.

The second compilation is a collective creation

The collective new song for "Elements Garden II" was first presented by Uematsu with a general melodic imagery, then further refined by Fujima and Junpei Fujita; The arrangement was advanced by them together with Kikuta and Nakayama, with Uematsu writing the lyrics and soliciting members' opinions. Uematsu recalls that everyone sticks to their own direction, which makes the joint production take more time.

The direction and recording of Kageyama's new song

After joint discussion, the team decided to preserve the popularity of Kageyama's singing while moving away from his usual passionate rock style, so they chose the Latin direction. The melody also approaches the boundaries of his high notes, highlighting the singer's expression.

Co-created the first album

When producing "SALVAGE REQUIEM," the members first came up with ideas together, then split into two groups: lyricists and composers and arrangers. The composition team placed three keyboards side by side in the studio, playing while continuing their musical phrases; Personal ideas clashed, and in the end, Junpei Fujita coordinated the song.

The third volume features new songs and recorded vocals

"PLEASE KILL OUR MUSIC" was only written after Kisho Taniyama agreed to participate. Uematsu wanted to follow the rock style he and Masaaki Iizuka had formed and propose new directions that Elements Garden could bring about, so he chose digital rock.

Collaborated with Hiromi Sato on melodies

Sato recalled that at the start of "Sugar Season," she hummed the melody herself, and the members of Elements Garden wrote it into a score and provided suggestions, preserving her original melodies.

She also gives feedback on whether the singer is easy to sing and her own feelings, not limited to songs she sings herself.
