FAVORITE magical fantasy ADV. The protagonist of Sanzen Town, Kanade Taiga, is accompanied by the black cat Kuro who can transform into human form. The old magical girl returns to life, and the Land of Night, magic, and an unfinished dream gradually intersect.

Girls who have lost their magic

In the past, several magical girls fought to save the world, but after the war ended, no one knew of their sacrifices. Ten years later, the girls have forgotten how to use magic, and a new request appears in their peaceful lives: "Please let me become a magical girl again." "The boy Taiga reunites with a young girl beneath spring petals, and past battles and the current search for happiness are thus connected.

International distribution status

Zen Town and the Land of Night

FAVORITE is set in Sanzencho and its otherworldly nighttime connection. Street corner general store "Yume no Nedoko" residents: Toya Fuyutsuki and sister Asahi Himukai; Asahi calls herself the Night Magician. Night, steam locomotives, and magical residents form the main fantastical space of the work.

Daya and her old companions

Kuroneko Kuro is Daya's companion and can transform into a white-haired girl; She had accompanied Daya since childhood, was shy around others, but was used to talking to him on the phone before bed. Hiiragi Haru participated in magical girl battles over ten years ago. After leaving town, she returned as a transfer student, hoping to become a magical girl again.

Old friends and people living in the night

Taiga Kanade and Kuro have been together since childhood; Haru Hiiragi, Chiwa Anto, and Himori Yozuki are former partners; Toya and the Asahi sisters live at Yumenone's place, while Nana cannot leave the old steam train at night. The two fathers of the Senwa Line

The family story of Chiwa's route revolves around Nachto and Sol, who together take care of Chiwa as fathers. Nachto later took her away, and Chiwa expressed her awareness and feelings for Taiya to him; The story shifts to Nahat's perspective, expressing his wish to protect his daughter's happiness. In the epilogue, Chiwa recalls Nahato, says goodbye to him, and also witnesses Chiwa, Daya, and the happiness of future generations.

Himeori Line's mother and Toya

Hiori was once saved by her mother, and she hesitates between spending her future with Daya and responding to her mother's sacrifice. She believed she had no dreams and was just living peacefully, and felt guilty about it. The first half of the route also tells of Toya's past with friends, and those who once helped her leave their next chapter of their lives to come back to her. To save Hiori, Daya takes on the nature of getting lost, and at the end of the route, she responds again to the return journey and reunion.

War and retrospection in the Haru line

The first half describes Chihito's participation in the war against the Night King to save his sister Azusaki, and how he composes songs for her. After the school festival, Haru and Taiga became lovers, and soon the two fell into a dilemma of mutually retributing misfortunes: the future Taiga once saved the young Haru, and to save him, she traveled back in time, but Taiga kept traveling back in time to prevent her death. The final action shifts to sending Haru back to the future and believing in the future with herself, rather than continuing to let Daya rewrite the past alone.

The price of the memory and reunion in the Black Line

Kuro can bear misfortune for those important to her, but the curse that moves her to the future causes her to cross a long time after falling asleep. To remember her for life and maintain the same heart as her, Daya asks Asahi for help, paying the price of loneliness without friends, lovers, or family; He could see Kuro and remember her, but he had to never respond to her. Kuro accompanied him through his entire life, and after exhausting his own life, he used the life token made by Asahi and Toyo to return to Daya's side on his deathbed. After their deaths, they reunited in the Land of Night and finally paid the price.
