"Sugar, sugar, sugarcoat" is a school romance text game created by Kobato En under the name Pankuzu Kobo. Helena is cursed by Mary, who calls herself a demon, and must give her the love she received from her friends.

Helena and the demon
Helena is not good at expressing emotions, but she values her friends highly. She deeply loved Mary and accepted her request for affection; She interacts with Coralis, Michelle, and Sarah, making her the main action in the story.
Three friends
Coralis appears serious, but her actions are free and spontaneous, and she also shows kindness; Michelle is approachable, loves sweets and soft and cute things, and has a wide range of expressions; Sarah is usually gentle and enjoys taking care of others. The three not only date Helena separately but also chat with each other in everyday moments.
Character paths and overall endings
The three friends each have happy, bad, and true endings, as well as the overall normal and true endings of the story. To enter each character's True branch, you need to look for a third option in the first day's message window in the save file where you've seen their Happy ending. Overall Normal requires each romance character to complete at least one ending, while Overall True requires collecting three True endings and performing special operations in the in-game demo interface. Development and publishing
The author used Ren'Py to create this game, adding variations to the interface and character illustrations; when characters talk, the audience also changes their expressions along with the dialogue. The Japanese side announced the release date as May 20, 2024, with the Steam page listed as May 19. The work supports Windows, macOS, as well as Japanese and Chinese Simplified text, and is credited to pankuzufactory and Pujia8 Studio.
Soundtrack album
The 2025 separately released "Sugar, sugar, sugarcoat Soundtrack" under the name En Kobato contains 20 tracks, including "Sugar," "Her Room," and "Sugarcoat." The digital original sound can be purchased separately or bundled with the console.
