Collected scripts
VOL.1 consists of three stories: Emi Kurata, the Dog Delivery Legend, and the Apartment Strangeness; VOL.02 consists of two parts: school ghost stories and urban legend investigations. Both official websites credit the scripts to Takiya Iijima.
Scratches on the pillars
He was responsible for the original work and story, while Hidekazu Himaruya handled the art and performance, resulting in a reading work without optional branches.
From script participation to complete projects
In a 2009 interview, Takiya Iijima recalled that after leaving the industry and returning to commercial production, he could only write scripts and found it difficult to influence the overall game environment. To create recognized works, he gradually increased his staff, starting with small-scale fan productions, accumulating enough to build a commercial production team.
Deletion, retention, and reuse of the 48 script
In a 2008 interview, Takiya Iijima recalled that the script for "Temporary" was too large in scale, making it difficult to complete the entire script within the production period, so he cut some of the content he was responsible for. Of the originally planned three routes, two were deleted one after another, and the story that unfolds based on the family composition and place of origin entered by the player was also removed. He regards these deletions as his own specific experiences that make it difficult to influence the overall production.
According to Takiya Iijima's recollection, 'Shuuri Inu' in 'Midnight Collection VOL.1' was originally one of the long-form scripts planned by 'Temporary' to be distributed to each prefecture. This manuscript was not adopted in the production of "48" and was later presented as a collection of stories.
