Rokushiki Island and the festival

Far from the mainland, Rokushiki Island hosts the martial arts ceremony called the 'Rokushiki Festival.' The chosen girl is granted divine power by the shrine maiden and dedicates herself to the island's gods in battle. The festival was not only a martial arts contest but also connected to the order of noble families and the identity of successors; Participants waited for battle with different goals.

Day Arc: The Shrine Maiden's Wish

Rokushiki and Qiqi are responsible for the ceremony, yet more than anyone wants to participate in battle personally. Her mother, Ruki, takes the responsibility of a shrine maiden very seriously and cannot accept her conflicts. Nono Ninomiya, obsessed with traditional martial arts, Nono Ninomiya, who can recreate moves, Ayako Tokunaga, who taught herself martial arts, and Tomomi Fukayama, who relies on her knowledge-based strategy, each approach the main festival in their own ways.

Eve Arc: The Punishment from Ten Years Ago

As a child, Tomoe Mio should have given the family name to the genius Tsubasa of the Toriashi family, but instead defeated him in a way that broke the rules, causing him serious injuries. Ba was thus bound by an unbreakable rope to bind his legs. Ten years later, she is asked to participate in the secret 'Ura Sakura Festival'; Tsubasa's younger sister Kai also joins the battle for her sister, and Tomoe ultimately decides to accept the challenge.

The four ministers together prepared the sacrificial offerings

The Ura-Sakura Festival involves the order between prestigious families and the Shisō family. Hikimiya decoys are usually timid in daily life, but their combat movements are not restricted by the formal form; Jo Kakeyama relied on his physique to exert his strength. Yuka Goto and Rei Karimu are both skilled in making ritual implements, indicating that family responsibilities are not solely determined by direct combat ability.

Connection with the December harvest

In episode 9 of 'Harvest of December', titled 'Festival of August', the Rokushiki Island is also used. To restore Shiro's power, Masaki and his group arrive on the island. Due to the commotion caused by the ritual, they cooperate with the shrine maiden Rokushiki Nanaki. As a result, the two works form a clear connection in terms of location, festival, and characters.

Production and songs

The script was written by Takeda, and the key animation was by Yumehito Ueda. The opening theme "Twilight" was composed and arranged by Byakuya, with lyrics by Kageri Mikazuki, and performed by Junka Tenotsu; The ending theme 'Touhime Kagura' was composed and arranged by Byakuya, with lyrics and vocals by Kageri Mikazuki.

Distribution Form

The CD-R version was released at the Winter Doujin Expo on December 29, 2008, with later editions available for both pressed disc and download. The official 1.1 patch was provided for this CD-R version, replacing the video and fixing the performances. The mobile platform offers Day and Eve as standalone applications; The old game "Shinji Tougei Carnival" had a patch that does not apply to the two.
