Idol and Magical Girl

Mitsuru Matsushima admired the top idol Kazami Kazuhime, but his performances were still limited to small stages in underground jazz bars. One day, on her way home, she mistook the light in the sky for a meteor and made a wish, only to find the cat-shaped familiar Nyammel landing beside her. The other party asks her to become a magical girl and save the world, so her idol activities become intertwined with another mission.

Characters from parallel worlds

The characters have different professions and relationships in this parallel world. Man is a 14-year-old second-year middle school student, Kazuhime is her idol and her rival in the magical girl realm. Komine Kou helps Mitsuru manage his idol activities, Yumiko Sakaki is a senior at the same agency, and Shikina Irino serves as the agency president. The jazz bar '9029' is run by Asako Kusakabe, and Amane Suo later works part-time at the bar; Ichihime's younger brother, Yuji, is an elementary school student who has been hospitalized for a long time.

Structure of the first and second parts

The game organizes the story in an episode-by-episode format similar to a TV anime. The first part of the PC series was released in August 2014, and the second part was released in December of the same year, consisting of 7 and 6 episodes respectively. The Steam prequel was published by Frontwing USA, with the store listed as July 29, 2015; This date differs from the original Japanese PC release date.

PS Vita combined version

The PS Vita version, released on June 25, 2015, combined the two parts, supporting full voice acting and PS Vita TV. The port offers 960×544 views, tone adjustments close to PC display effects, as well as touch page flipping, skipping, backtracking, and chapter reeling.

Production and songs

Character art is handled by Akio Watanabe and Fumio, SD art by Ishito Yamada, and script by Yuichi Kuwashima. The theme song "MAJICK" is performed by Yuhana, with lyrics by Yuichi Kuwashima, composed and arranged by Hitoshi Fujima. The original soundtrack also includes Chata's performance of "Love me DO!!" The composition and arrangement of the latter two songs were handled by U.

Relationships with other collections

The Nintendo Switch compilation of "Gray Fruit・Labyrinth ・Paradise" includes three main storyline titles and several side stories, but does not include "Idol Puella Magi Koman." "Xiaoman" adopts a parallel world setting and is released as an independent spin-off.
