Mizuki from the first three episodes of the 2008 anime
In the first three episodes of the 2008 anime, Mai Goto maintained Mizuki's energetic, almost ordinary girlish surface, while revealing the burdens hidden inside her heart that she had not yet shaken off in the details.
The boy inside the sheep doll
Goto Yuki-chan always tries to preserve the boy's inner self, showing awkward concern for this sheep doll.
Chisato Kusunoki from Narcissus 3rd Middle
Mai Goto voiced Chisato Kusunoki in the 2009 PC series 'Narcissus 3.' The character hides her introversion by being talkative, gradually becoming familiar with a stranger chatting on the street.
Sakurano spoke at a speed and in the length of the animation
When Mai Goto voiced Sakurano in the "White Symphony" TV anime, she needed to preserve the character's slow-paced speech within the limited runtime, so special attention was paid to the rhythm of her lines.
Asagiri Mai's voice was at a distance
When Mai Goto plays Mai Asagiri in "Crescent Love," she tries to minimize deliberate changes in her voice, striking a balance between cuteness and straightforwardness, allowing her closeness to her brother to naturally convey. The new fantasy scenes in the animation also made her especially careful not to disrupt Mai's original feeling.
Added script for delusional scenes
When Goto first read the scripts for these new scenes in the anime, he worried whether the audience would accept them. She saw the butterfly scene in episode four as a test of her performance, and only felt relieved after learning the positive response.
