Girl and boy

The girl cannot recall her past, often acts on instinct, and trusts the boy who appears before her. The boy wears a rabbit mask, and his identity and purpose are unclear; He showed no hostility, yet seemed to know things the girl didn't yet understand.

Three chapters

The work consists of the main story "Billions of Years of Starlight," the supplementary "Starry Fairy Tale," and the special episode "Love in Thirty Thousand." The Steam version also lists hidden elements from multiple playthroughs and eight achievements. Different chapters together make up the game's content, and it is not a sequel released independently by the three titles.

Visuals and voice

The Steam product description lists over twenty pieces of CG, over thirty backgrounds, and more than twenty pieces of music, along with Chinese voice acting. The characters are voiced in Chinese, with an English interface and subtitles provided.

Production and distribution

The official producer of Mizuki Bingli lists this work as one of their signature works. In April 2017, Blue Angel's official website announced that the work had been released; On December 9 of the same year, it launched on Steam, with Angels Blue Digital Entertainment and DigitalEZ listed as developers, and published by DigitalEZ. The January 2017 product chart on the official website shows the originally scheduled release date.

Original soundtrack

The soundtrack was released on December 21, 2017, consisting of twenty-one tracks. The overall music credits include Duanmu Jialong, Ray, Xinyi, and others, featuring different lengths and instrumental versions of the theme song, as well as tracks like "Memory," "Meteor," "Starry Sky," and "Solitude." "Love" has two versions and a cappella version.

Meeting in the hospital

The boy was frail and sickly from a young age, and met a seriously ill girl in the hospital. The two chatted and stargazed together, and the boy wanted to protect her; He collapsed first, but still managed to bring the unconscious girl into the Starlight Garden he had constructed.

The illusion and return of this chapter

The girl gradually recalls the hospital's past in the courtyard. The boy once wanted her to stay forever, but in the end, he let her return to reality. After waking up, she continues searching for the boy, and years later, at another hospital, she discovers a suspected patient and turns to protect him.

Identity revealed in the follow-up arc

"Starry Fairy Tale" fills in the hospital and illusions from a teenager's perspective, ultimately revealing that he is the demon king experiencing life on earth; Upon waking, he lost his previous memories and emotions. In reality, even when a girl reaches eighty, she still goes to the boy's grave to pay her respects. This ending is presented separately from the main story's scene where the girl searches for a patient.

A cappella and instrumental versions of the pieces

The digital original soundtrack version of "Love" is on track 9, 2 minutes and 18 seconds long; The tenth track is a 50-second a cappella version, and the twelfth track is the 3 minutes and 2 second version. "Paradise in the Mirror" is included as track 18 at 2 minutes 25 seconds and track 19 in the second edition at 2 minutes 45 seconds. The theme song also includes a short instrumental version of the sixteenth track (2 minutes 09 seconds) and a long instrumental version of the seventeenth track (3 minutes 23 seconds).
