Adaptation and revision of lyrics and composition by 'Star Rain'
Rita proposed to Shun Orikura to create a concept album based on the song "Yume Mikuri Yume" from "Aster" and the original work's theme of losing a loved one; After the other party accepts, it forms 'Hoshi no Ame -Closed Garden-'.
Orikura re-created the sound for "Hoshi no Ame," but retained early guitar data for "Yume ni Miku Yume" and "Futatsume no Sora." He explained that the guitarist's improvisational phrases in the original recording were very memorable, so he chose to keep them.
Orikura did not want the theme of death and farewell in "Hoshi no Ame" to become nothing more than a set of dark piano slow pieces. He places these themes into different stories and situations, emphasizing the side of continuing life after accepting reality, in order to achieve different musical expressions.
After the first draft of "Diary" was delivered, Orikura felt it was too ordinary and rewrote it according to Rita's suggestion of a letter-like autobiography; About the next day of recording, during a break, the two decided to keep two different perspectives, each writing lyrics from different perspectives.
