A girl who claims to be her childhood friend
Xiaofeng lives with his mother and younger sister Xiaoya, barely getting into a key high school, where he attends classes and chats with friends. The girl nicknamed "Orange" suddenly interfered in his life, claiming to have known him for a long time and speaking about the future. The story revolves around Orange Red, bringing the original campus relationships into a new scenario tinged with fantasy.
An acquaintance from a parallel world
Dai Ziling is a mixed-race girl who transferred to a neighboring class, and her outstanding looks quickly attract attention; Xiaoya is in her third year of middle school, and Xiaofeng's friend Zhai Tian also makes an appearance. Compared to "Flowers in the Mirror, Water Moon," this work emphasizes humor, self-mockery, and characters complaining about their own situations. Xiaofeng even clearly sees himself as the protagonist of the game.
Relation to this article
The production team clearly positioned "Orange Legend" as a short story set in a parallel world. After reading "Flowers in the Mirror, Moon in Water," you will find even more echoes. It uses the same character base but is not a direct sequel to the main event; Juhong moves from the surrounding characters to the narrative center, forming the main change in the side story.
Full voice version
A voiceless version was first released in May 2009, and on May 14, 2010, the Full Voice version was released, supporting both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Yukikou was responsible for supervision, character design, and CG, while the script was written for Corpse Under the Cherry Tree. Juhong is voiced by Ji Yingqi, Xiaofeng by Yin Yibu; Hidden Eevee is also responsible for post-production voice acting.
From the setting of the story to the orange red confession
The 2010 fully voiced version had Juhong in the first half criticizing the original characters and the usual settings of romance games, then shifted to her childhood sweetheart love story with Xiaofeng. The confession scenes are coordinated with event CG and Chinese voice acting, transforming Juku from a bystander to the central figure of the side story's emotions.
Choose dialogue and character placement
In the middle section, Dai Ziling discusses how choices bring different possibilities, and the difference between a game world that can be changed repeatedly and an irreversible life. In the side story, the class president returns to the role of a passerby, while Xiaoya continues to manage household affairs and shows signs of brotherly affection; These characters are set in parallel worlds of 'Orange Legend.'
