Double Best Selection: Song selection and track order
In a 2017 interview, Aimer explained that since he had accumulated many tracks, he adopted a two-album curated plan. Even for best-of selections, she hopes the song selection and order can express her will; When selecting songs, she discussed with her team more than ever to incorporate different perspectives.
She requested to include a turning point song from her own activities and decided from the start to open with her debut song "Night of the Sixth Class."
Lyrics and recording of new songs
The new song "March of Time" starts with the theme of March, and Aimer writes lyrics based on parting and loneliness. She juxtaposes the blessings of a new graduation start with the reluctance to part and the desire to stay in March, trying to write songs that encourage listeners.
After multiple adjustments, the arrangement of "Singing Bird Wind and Moon" became more complex, making subsequent lyric writing more difficult. Aimer expresses his deep longing in the song, and he also channels this feeling to his desire to keep singing.
"Songbird Wind and Moon" is almost entirely accompanied by piano. Aimer felt this arrangement would directly present the human voice, so he put a lot of effort into recording and singing; She tried her best to control her voice within her ability at the time.
