Song selection, mastering, and title conception

TEAM Entertainment initially proposed producing a compilation of works. Worried about the wide range of styles, Mitose divided the repertoire into the more artistic "Centifolia" and the more pop-oriented "Mille-feuille." This disc is based on songs with distinctive melodies that are easy to hum along, so it also retains songs with darker melodies.

The original vocals and accompaniment ratios for each piece differ, and the volume is also inconsistent. She recalled that engineers spent a lot of time coordinating these differences during mastering, hoping for smoother continuous listening throughout the entire disc.

Her newly written 'Constraints' centers on the universality of love, extending emotion to care for life. Because of this idea, she placed the song at the beginning of the album.

"Mille-feuille" means a thousand leaves; she uses layers of accumulated imagery to express her past work; The title is also linked to the dessert of the same name, echoing this pop works selection of sweeter images.

Looking back at the album "Rose Killer no Kamila," Mitose said that the gothic style in Yoneyama Toy's lyrics allowed her to use strong tremolo and sing freely.

Specific tracks in the master review

In a 2012 interview, Mitose listed "D_Side of the Moon" and "Bara Koroshi no Kamila" as examples of light vocals that rely on holistic music. She explained that the latter has many segments used as battle BGM, and the vocals are at volumes close to the BGM mix.
