Bonus animation pre-recorded sound
According to Mamiko Noto's recollection, the 2014 Vitamin Release limited edition bonus animation first included Tomoaki Maeno's voice as Kiyoto Kaidou. Noto then heard these lines and realized that the actual comedic performance was stronger than he had imagined when reading the script.
The comedic performance of the CLOCK ZERO radio drama
When recording the drama CD 'CLOCK ZERO ~The Last Second~' titled 'Justice Secret Squadron Hells Angels Episode 613: Twilight Decisive Battle,' Tomoaki Maeno distinguished between Riichiro Kanou's childhood and adult acting style. Faced with this more comedic story, he still maintains the character's personality while adding more roasting.
AmagamiSS's mood and recording arrangement
When voicing Junichi Tachibana in the first season of 'Amagami SS', Tomoaki Maeno initially kept probing to find the boundaries of how much emotional changes could be expressed. Once he got the hang of the recording, he felt the recording process would pass quickly.
The female lead changes every four episodes in the first season of 'Amagami SS.' Maeno must rebuild pure feelings for each other through each arc, especially finding the Morishima arc difficult to portray. After joining "SS+ plus," the relatively fast pace of two episodes per person made him constantly experiment with acting methods.
Maeno and Kaori Nazuka were separately included in the first season of 'Amagami SS' due to scheduling and did not meet on set; A 2011 report also noted that in "SS+ plus," the two would dub in front of other actors, a change that made them a bit shy.
When dubbing the lyrics for 'Amagami SS+ plus,' Tomoaki Maeno paid special attention to emotional transitions. He pointed out that the story progresses quickly in two episodes, and the characters must complete these changes within a relatively short span.
